Angry Sedona 2.9 Crdi Auto UK Road Tax

I was just wondering if drivers of Sedona diesel automatics in the UK realise what road tax they'll be paying from April 2009. Well here's the bad news, its band L ( 226g/km-255g/km ) and thats a whopping £415 quid! And all because of one lousey g/km. So if your tax is out soon do it for six months and then twelve to put off the enevitable. Baxxxds!!!

IMO they've gone too far with the spectrum.

The £20 & £30 quid bands are too low ...and we all know the 200+ CO2 bands have gone off the scale.

this thread raises a few questions in my swiss cheese brain
1 the skinflint in me wonders what is the tax going to be for a manual?
2 is it possible to re register a sedona as a hybrid and get free tax?
3 when dealing with the tax man it is going to hurt so what can be done to reduce the pain?
