Sedona gearbox problem

My 03 2.9CRDi gearbox has packed in.
Can anyone tell me if the gearbox from the earlier 2.9TD is identical?

Hi yes they are I have a 02 TDI which had a (50 – 40 LE) on it now it has a (50 – 42 LE) CRDI auto box on it and it runs fine.
(Check what mileage it’s done)

Heube, I'm hoping you are still keeping an eye on this forum since your gearbox trouble.

Today my wife brought ours home and its making a horrible notchy noise ...almost like as if a CV joint has failed.
I've just took it to my local garage and we got it on the ramps. There is a definate noise coming from the gearbox when the wheels are spun fast.

It otherwise behaves okay though. I just wondered what your symptoms were and if Sedona's were known for common gearbox problems ( mine has now got 110000 miles on it )

To make things worse, the PAS pump is leaking , the tesnioner pulley for the aircon pump has callapsed and the belt is shredded. I'm sorry I got out of bed this morning
