Fuel Contaminated!!!!!

Hi All
My engine check light comes on when ever I hit a hill or need extra power. Took it to Kia who did a check for me and said it was the fuel that was contaminated.

They would remove the filter (diesel 2.9) and seal it in a glass jar and send it away for analysis.

When driving if I ignore the check light and dont take my foot of the gas, it will cut out completly and I have to switch off and re-start.

Anyone heard of this before?

It failed its MOT on emmissions so they added something to sort it out, so I think it may be this that is giving a wrong code. But why the problms going up a hill? Anyone got a clue for me please.

hi we have just bought a 07 sedona. one of our last cars was a 307 sw it was missfiring but not all the time. after 6 months they diagnosed that the fuel was contaminated with metal filings this was to do with the fuel pump peugeot put it right but it cost them alot as they had to replace the injectors etc. when telling the garage where we had purchased our sedona from they said they had the same problems with some of the old shape sedonas. i dont know what year yours is but check it out.
