Audio not working

Hi, i'm new to this forum. i just bought a 02 Kia Sedona couple of days back. the audio was working fine when i purchased the vehicle. i even played a cd once after the purchase. Yesterday i noticed that the audio was NOT turning on. i pressed 'pwr' and other keys. i'm out of ideas. looks like it is not covered under warranty anymore. wondering if any one can suggest me how to fix it? i'm a lay man technically. appreciate if you can give me the steps in detail

Obvious reply this, but have you checked all the fuses?

Fuse? where is it located? Please help. do those fuses have numbers or names?

From memory, the fuse-box is down in the Drivers-side-panel (near your feet) - this is on right-hand-drive, mind you. Be prepared for it to be the stereo, though. Ours has been replaced twice under warranty & is playing up again. If it is cactus, I'd be chucking it & fitting a decent Pioneer, Clarion or Kenwood. Something along those lines. Good luck with it.
