Default Sedona Metalic loud sounds when driving!!!

My 2002 Kia Sedona has lasted 4 years with little or no problems until now. When I drive it on the road, it makes banging sounds like metal banging against each other. If someone out there could please let me know how to solve this noise problem? Please also let me know what part to buy!!!!!!!!!!

You'd need to give a little more detail! Where is the noise coming from, when does it happen, when dosen't it happen, what does it sound like?

could be somthing simple like a loose bracket, or somthins serious like a loose engine or suspension mount?

Plese enlighten us!

p.s. why was this moved to the Sportage fourm when it is a sedona issue?

Default thanks mght1972

The sounds appear to be comming from the left rear around the tire area. The sounds it makes is like "heavy metal clanging, deep low tone but loud," this happens when the van is driven on rough roads surfaces. On better road surfaces, it makes rapid rattling sounds but not too loud and goes away. I hope this will help.

As for the posting, I though this was posted on the Sedona forum.

Aside from the strut problem, I have a trailer hitch, do you? The rear exhaust exit pipe is routed over the hitch. Or the hitch is mounted under the exhaust outlet. Every once in a while, especially when the outside temp is cold, the pipe will hit the hitch causing a claniking noise. Take a look at the rear exhaust pipe.
