Default Battery disconnection

Hi, is there likely to be any problems if I disconnect battery for a length of time, while working on it, without using any memory backup etc..

I had the airbag light come on when I had a failing battery (gradually diminishing output over time). I don't know if you will have a similar problem if you fully disconnect it. My feeling is that you won't. Either way, unless it's something simple and safe, disconnect before starting the repair.

Excellent. Thanks for the update. The airbag thing must be a fault registered due to low voltage rather than due to no voltage.

Yeah dirty battery terminal can cause a low voltage and can cause air bag light to come on.

That happened to me a couple of springs ago, they cleaned terminal and it was good to go
