Aerial mast replacement

hi, has anyone replaced their aerial mast. Ours doesn't go up and down properly so want to cange it. I was able to on my other car, a Pajero but our kia dealer seems to think that you have to replace the whole unit and not just the mast. If anyone has could you possibly let me know the part number.

I Aust we can get the aerial mast for the Carnival it is described as ANTENNA POLE ASSY p/no 0K553 66931

I cannot see it being much different.
BTW this is for a power aerial.
