Our Carnival just had it's "1st Service" - the 15 000 km one. $270-00 odd. Everything seems in order & can't complain on cost or timing, Wifey took it in at 0930 & had it back by 2:30 pm, in time to pick up the kids.
My only gripes are that they didn't rotate the tyres - apparently this is the norm with Dealerships these days - & there was residual oil spilt in the sub-frame from the oil-filter, ie: from when they removed it. This then later dripped onto my Parent's driveway & ours too. I'd just be aware of the tyre rotation thing, especially with a big, heavy front-wheel-drive. Sigh, another job for me.

congratualtions.. although I am pretty sure they just follow a list and tick the boxes for the various services they don't go looking for problems not on there checklist.

I bought a 10 year old car for my wife last month for the same price as the 40,000 mile service next friday.

I'd second Clartsonly, they only go round ticking and checking their list, they don't do anything over and above this.

In fact my local Ford Transit specialist missed a blown number plate bulb 2 services in a row. In fact I believe the lazy sod checks barely anything!

Took it in on Wednesday because although its got 500 miles to go till its next service the brake pads have worn through to the metal (with no warning lights to prevent impending disaster). They can't get it back to me until next Thursday, not really good enough for a business customer. My old Mercedes garage from when I had my Sprinter used to do 24 hours a day servicing. In fact I used to drop it in at about 7 in the evening and they've have it ready in about 2 hours for me while I waited.
