Just another minor problem with my 2002 Sedona 2.9 Diesel which is now starting to wind me up!
If I am at a junction/roundabout and have my steering wheel at a certain position (about 20-30 degrees off centre) the indicator arm will not engage, it just cancels straight away - thus no other cars have a clue where I'm going! I've had it back to the garage & their mechanic swears blind that this is normal. Does this happen on every Sedona?
All cars do it. If you rotate the steering wheel to the point that it would cancel the blinker, you can't engage it. Every car I've ever driven does this.
Hi Kiamech
Ours does it when you are turning left, you put the indicator on & start to turn it will turn itself off before you are turning into the corner then you have to put it back on & hope it stays on.Cheers Len
Well it should stay on through the turn, but if you turn the wheel to the right at all it will usually turn off. Try the left blinker while you are not moving and turn the wheel to the left until it stops to see if it turns off before you start turning right again.
The one that bugs me is a roundabout that you are turning right, and of course you must turn slightly left before negotiating around the roundabout. And off the indicator goes....fumble!!!!....fume!!!...finally turn it on again so the ongoing traffic knows what is happening and then you have to turn the left indicator on as you exit the roundabout and.....same thing happens....oh I give up...
Richard, how does the Vauxhall handle those type of turns?
Sounds like a RHD thing then, it is very annoying, but they all do it.
Vauxhall electronic indicator works in 2 ways.
Give the stalk a flick to the first stage, and it signals 3 times.
Give the stalk a push to the second stage and indicator remains on til the turn is complete, sounds complicated but imho it's a marvelous idea.
