This Carnival of mine is already 6 Month old and driven almoust 11.000 km, so I guess with a shlt (kia) like this I shouldn't make a fuzz about small things like not being able to lock drivers door anymore.

I would never buy Kia, but it was my wife who wanted a new crap instead of second hand car. With $30.000AUD I could get at least THREE bloody good MB S-class cars, where each one will definately take me nearly a million km without any problems. I have had them before and know what I'm talking about.
So please, do wise move and sell your "made in ping-pong" -crap and get second hand CAR instead.

Sounds like you are having some problems with the car. Be interested to know what the service backup is like on this issue. What has been the response from the KIA dealer?

On the Mercedes I cannot remember them offering a decent people mover that could transport a large family. Their current offering is way to expensive for a normal family with four children.

You do get what you pay for, while trouble free motoring is desired one of the reasons we purchased a new Carnival back in 1999 was to have a warranty that would cover issues like the one you mention. I am sure it will be rectified. Be interesting to know if anyone else out there has had this problem.

Hi Ashley
Broken door locks would seem like a fairly trivial problem when you think about the problems some of us have had.Have you had any other response re your car.Oh to only having a broken door lock.Cheers Len

Well it did seem like a minor issue, but I was trying to be empathetic with the issue and pointing out that it is the end result that is important. I still don't think mercedes offers anything in this market that is remotely affordable to a normal family.

On our ongoing issue, I think KIA are on holidays as all has been quiet over this easter break. Just desperately want some resolution.

I am sooo frustrated, I and all my family purchased the KIA because it was the perfect car for our family and still is. No other car on the market would suit us as well. With an ounce of support from KIA Australia on our engine we would update to a newer model that doesn't have the problems in the engine. I find this sooo frustrating. My wife is just near tears whenever we talk about it. It has been hard

Anyway we march on, trying to gain a bit of justice.

Thanks so much for your support Len.
