We bought new a 02 Kia sedona. We have been pretty fortunate to only have minor problems so far...

-Rims are chipped and look crappy. Considering getting some updated pimped out (as pimped out as a mom of 5 gets) rims anyway.

-Some rusting on the rear door. A nearby Kia I was checking out in a parking lot had it in the SAME spot.

-Can't get the rear power outlet thingys to work (?)

-New transmission problem. Will be visiting the dealership over this one.

Even though we have had these problems I really like my Kia. It works great for our family of 7. I think we will have to upgrade in a few years to something larger. Right now all our children are small and still fit.

Midland wheel Supplies

A lot of my friends have had good deals from these people, mail them to see what they can do in the right sizes,

It worked out cheaper for my friend to buy a set of wheels and tyres from these guys than to just buy a replacement set of tyres for his original wheels.

Hi there,
Just a quick mention about the problem you're having with your rear power outlets. Are you aware that the ignition has to be on for the outlets to work? Personally, I think this is a stupid feature because any time I stop the car (or re-start it ) when my son is watching a DVD on journeys, the player cuts out momentarily and returns the disc to the begining. Try explaining to a 5 year old why it happens this way!
Anyway, have fun with your Sedona!

Hello Alimands,

Yes that is an annoying feature, I supose the thinking behind it is to save battery charge.

I maybe wrong but I thought someone on this site cracked this problem by taking a permanant live from underneath the drivers seat.

Cheers seacam,
I had thought about altering the wiring myself but my electrical skills are strictly limited to the odd household plug or lightswitch. Maybe one day I'll pluck up the courage - 'till then, my son will just have to put up with it!
