Greetings.

Just purchased a 2005 Kia Sedona and love it.

I'd like to add an auto dimming mirror / compass. The easiest way would be to tap power already supplying my sunroof / homelink.

Anybody know how to remove the overhead console? I don't see any hidden screws, but before I start yanking too hard on it.... Well, I'd hate to break my brand new vehicle. I looked at the shop manual on the Kia site, and it didn't have any info.

Appreciate any help somebody can offer!

Thanks

I've pulled the one from my '02. It had two screws toward the back and two clips at the front. However, I think it may be a bit smaller than the one your '05 so there may be differences.

Thanks... I've looked, but can't find any screws. I know on my 02 Santa Fe, I had some screws inside the sunglass holder... but the Sedona's got a homelink there.

Hello,
On my 2004 LE Sedona, (UK) if I open both of the 'spectacle' (glasses or shades) holders in the roof console, there are two screws inside the front holder and two screws inside the second holder. I suspect with these screws out, the console will come down.

Good luck.

Thanks,

My problem is that I have the homelink where the sunglass holder should be. Perhaps I can pop it out and get to the screws behind it?:

Yeah, I would think the screws are probably hidden by the Homelink but, not having that option, I can't tell you how exactly to remove it.
