I got some halfords "super brilliance" replacement headlight bulbs as one of my headlight bulbs has gone.

is there any hints and tips in changing them, I did search already but did not find anything, and do not want to break any connectors or anything experimenting to get the existing bulbs out.

Unless your hands are the size of a 3 year old, it's much easier to take the whole unit out to replace the bulb.
Luckily, this is very easy, iirc 3 10mm bolts, then just pull the whole unit out, theres normally a snap clip on the outer of the unit, just give it a good tug, and it'll come off.

thanks murphwiz, I did take a look earlier and realised it was gonna be a nightmare to fit my hand down there.

I will do the job when I have some more time.

just an update the halfords books clearly states 472 so I got but one get one free on 472SB (super brilliance) and they are wrong. the actual bulb is a 477 and a 477SB is £19 each. I still managed to get a buy one get one free because it was halfords books fault.

the are a doddle to fit if you remove the whole headlight and don't forget to put the cover back on before you bolt the headlight back into place.
