hi
just changed cambelt on sedona 2.9diesel 2001 evrything lined up but on starting up there is a single tapping noise coming from what seems to be the fuel pump no power and smokey! could the belts teeth be different to the original? it was the correct size to the one that came out!

any advice please!

There are 2 types of belt with different number of teeth.
Sounds like the pump or cam timing is out, did you lock the pump when you changed the belt?

Hi My sedona is in the garage as we speak and they can not get the bottom cover off to change the cam belt, how did you do it?

Any help would be great

Remove gearbox mount and loosen other 2 mounts, this gives the vital extra clearence.
Also make sure they have removed idler and tensioner pulleys from aux belt, as this makes it much easier.
