My 2002 Sedona EX recently had the alternator fail. I'm out of warranty so I was going to undertake changing it myself. Does anyone have any advice on what has to be removed to get the alternator out? I'd apreciate any suggestions before I get into it too deep.
I am aware of the undersized alternator issue on the 2002. I was reading a post on another site that said that there was a computer programming change that should be performed along with the alternator upgrade. The author claimed that Kia had made a change that increased the idle speed under heavy current draw. Can anyone confirm if this is true? If it is, is this something I have to have done at a dealer?
Thanks...
