Has anyone replaced the horn on a Sedona?

I bought a cheapy for Halfords - errrrmm... mistake! It had lots of 'honk' but lasted about 5 seconds as when I tested the new horn, the wires started smouldering and then went whoosh! ... pal who fitted the horn was gutted - I guess a little more so as I stood laughing my head off - obviously not the right thing to do!

Anyway, I'm looking for more of a 'HONK' than the pathetic little 'pharp' noise it currently produces.

So, has anyone swapped one over? If so, what did you go for?

Fiona

Get a pair of low/high tone horns, about £8 each from motor factors.
Probably need a 4 way realy to run them, only 4 wires to connect.

Cheers Murphwiz - I've passed this onto my helper.

Best and nastiest horns I've ever heard are on the old Montegos 2.0 or LX not 1.3, they had a cheap parpy horn fitted. find a set of the twin horns in a scrap yard and swap em over. I have a set I transfer between vehicles best noise ever.

LOL! Yes, you can barely even hear the horn! Rediculous!

So much for thinking about safety from Kia. Airbags and all that stuff are fine but a LOUD horn is always a plus! Heck, with this stock horn how are you suppose to warn anyone? I seriously doubt anyone would even hear it inside a vehicle.
