Niether does mine.

Is it a problem? I thought it was just notification to inform you the central locking had locked the doors when you use the remote.

Suppose I should look in the manual :P

The book states with my TYPE B key the horn sould go off when locking the doors with the remote key. Mine does not and the KIA dealer thougth thats the way all of the ones they sold were without the horn going off. KIA main office(US) in CALIF. said the horn should go off. The KIA dealer was informed to call the KIA TECH. REP. I'am now waiting to hear from them. HECK, I BOUGHT THAT KIA JUST TO HEAR THE HORN.

IF your owners book state your TYPE of key A or B, and does mention it will sound the horn when locking your doors with the remote.
Now a days it seems that all cars do have a system when you open or lock your doors.

To confirm my earlier ramblings.. The Manual states the horn will sound with the remote fob locking method. There is no mention of the horn sounding when using the key. This is exactly what mine does.

The SEDONA EX should have this option with TYPE B xmtr key and sound the horn when the key locks the doors, AS THE BOOK STATES. A friend has the LE Model and he went out to buy an after market system that sounds his horn since that was not on that Model LE.
I called the dealer again since I haven't heard from him and did make contact, he mention THE ENGINEERS ARE WORKING ON IT and will call me when he hears from them.

I have an ex luxury no other options available and the horn only goes off when the emergency help is pushed. THe lights flash when the doors lock and unlock and the manual does not say the horn will blow. Could you copy and paste from your manual that exact line cause I would like this option also.

I hope I can attach the page I scan from my book. File will be KIA KEYS.JPG
For those who have the smarts about the inner workings of automobiles go to KIA MOTOR AMERICA website and under the menu, KIA OWNERS, select SERVICE INFORMATIoN and register and you'll almost have the service manual before your eyes.

thanks, I look at the picture and the unlock in type b latches right and latches left for an A. I have a type B and you are right it does not sound the horn. What happens now? I will check my manual to see if its the same and get back to you.
