Default Kia Sedona Code reader (Newbie)

Wondering if anyone can help me based in UK can anyone suggest a code reader for my car as I do not know what is compatible with it having loss of power and Check Engine Light coming on. Some info on this would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Kevin

Anything you should be able to buy should work in a 2002. Look for EODB and CAN compliant. I bought mine off eBay for around $20.

Sometimes they have a hard time trying to search for the correct protocol to use. You have to let it scan each protocol, only turning on ignition as it begins each protocol scan. For example, my Hyundai only works under ISO 9004 protocol methinks, so I have to wait until my scanner tries that, then I turn on the ignition and it works fine.
