I am bumping this thread.

I too need to replace a passengers side wheel bearing on a Sedona (for a family member), the parts supplier I use thought they were pressed in, which if it is they have a full machine shop and its not an issue. Can anyone confirm that it is pressed it. I have a shop manual coming in the mail, but want to get a jump start on this project if I can. I had a run in with the infamous rusting rear coolant lines last week, had to risk life and limb during rush hour on the I-95 beltway around Wilmington, Delaware to pick it up. Thanks to this forum and its members it was a easy fix.

Thanks for your help and knowledge.

The front wheels need a press to extract and install the bearings, and it requires removal of the hubs from the vehicle.

Take a look at the KiaTech web site (see my sig for link) - they have a fairly good description of the job with pics.

I managed to strip the whole thing down and then took it to a local garage who had a press and they replaced the bearing and put it all back together for £10 !!

I had a show replace my wheel bearing (front Pass.) last August. I am taking it back to the same garage this weekend (July 18th) to have it replaced again. I can fix and replace anything on a car but as previously stated, it needs to be pressed in and I didn't want to mess with it. Luckly for me the shop is replacing it for free under the 12 month warranty that came with it. That will save me about $225 (american dollars)! Next is the motor mounts, finding out what that stupid PO446 code is and find out why it will not get better than 15mpg. Granted it runs great but it is annoying that there is always somthing that is breaking on it.
