Question Adding Aux Input Jack to CD player

Hey everyone,

I would really love to add an Aux input jack to the cd player of my 2003 Kia Sedona so that I can use my MP3 player while driving rather than keeping all my cds in my car.

I wanted to do it myself. Does anyone know how to go about this? I've read through a couple of tutorials online, but none specific for a Sedona.

Can anyone help me by giving me some tips or pointing me to somewhere with the info I need.

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,

It depends totally on the stereo, and having a circuit diagram for the stereo. The factory stereo fitted to my sedona (a JVC) played MP3 CDR disks natively.

its far easier to use an FM modulator (which plus into the cigar lighter & your MP3 player) then tune the two together . Type FM MODULATOR into ebay and you'll see thousands.

I ditched the stock stereo (as it was scratching disks) and put in a third party one.
Sadly ...although as it turns out quite fortunately....I broke the LCD and needed to find a cheap(ish) replacement.

Ive bought an Eonon 1011 from Ebay which I've just fitted into the sedona tonight
WOW thats a LOT of stereo for a little money!! and is a CRACKING performer

Plays MP3 DVDs, Plays SD cards (havent tried my 16gb SDHC yet but it was happy with 4GB SD) and plays my mp3s from my phone via bluetooth, as well as streams internet radio from the phone. Best bit is that when its shut up it looks quite "cheap and nasty"
and not like "burglar bait" at all - I dont know if it will last but i'm b*****y impressed for the money.

regards

BB
