Default kia sedona 2.9 v6 diesel

thinking of buying a 2001 kia sedona with cam shaft snapped for £200 is it worth repairing or should i leave it alone any advise appreciated

if the car is in good condition then if nothing else you can get your money back by selling of parts but as for the engine change it depends on how much you can get a spare engine for and if you can swap it yourself as labour charges if you have to get a garage to do the job will soon add up to being not worth it and there isnt a 2.9 v6 diesel it will be a 2.9 four pot diesel or a v6 petrol and being an 01 this is the kv6 rover derived lump (if it is this engine i wouldnt bother other than breaking for spares) being an 01 that was on the change over from tdi diesel to common rail and also some styling changes and the doing away with rotating seats in the middle and by now the earlier ones are getting a bit thin on the ground the later engine may be interchangeable but i dont know if the earlier injection system could be fitted in place of the common rail

i can do all work myself as i am a mechanic but cant seem to find a workshop manual for it
