DVD player will not work when engine running

hello. i have a 2001 2.9tdi with flip down dvd screen dvd unit under drivers seat, it will only work when engine is not running ( ign in acc position ) when engine is started the dvd switches off and will not come on when ign switch in run postion. can any one help. have not looked yet to see where feed is from. many thanks

Sounds like the Centurion unit thats fitted to my Sedona. The instruction book says, the yellow wire should be connected to a supply thats permanently live. The red to a supply thats only live when ignition is on and engine running and the black to a good earth. So it looks like your red connection is up the creek. Don't know where it connects to will look at mine later.
