Hi. wonder if you can help. I have a 2.9diesel and am wanting to know how to split cv joint, I have done this on numerous occasions on other vehicles where to split them you release joint by opening circlip but I cannot seem to find the circlip on my sedona cv joint. Thanks in advance.

Default reply drive shaft

the cv joint is held in by an internal snap ring and just needs a sharp tap on the cv joint and try to hold the drive shaft into the gear box whilst tapping the cv joint outwards and it should come off remember to fit a new snap ring on reasembly it is recomended by kia

Hi, thanks for that. So if I'm right the snap ring holds the joint onto the shaft and needs the shaft holding whilst hitting the cv joint? Oh by the way I have removed the drive shaft from the vehicle.
