Child Seat Recommendations Please

Hi there.

My name is Karan and I drive a UK W reg (2000) Kia Sedona 2.9tdi and have recently had a baby.

I have really struggled to find a suitable child seat to fit in the second row of my car. My model is the one where the second row has the two captain chairs. My current child seat is a carry tot type of infant carrier but we would like to put in a more permanent seat. At this time we would need a rear facing seat which ultimately turns to forward facing when the child reaches approx 9 months old.

I have found that the seatbelt fastening buckle is extremely long and that I'm struggling to find a seat that the buckle does not rub against.

The only model we have found is the Britax First Class SE (This seat has an alternative routing for longer seatbelt buckles apparently) which will only fit forward facing - so when baby is approx 9 months.

I was just wondering what everyone else uses and can anybody recommend a suitable child seat please.

Hello. we have fitted Baby Start SP Car Seat in our 2nd row. goes in fine, rear to start with then forward facing. got it from argos item 376/1346 or 376/3193. hope this helps
