Default Just purchased our first Kia

Just traded our aging 2003 windstar and got a used 2006 RED Sedona EX
with power sliding doors, tailgate and the DVD player. It was a one owner trade-in and the original owner traded it for a red 09 Sedona............ so i guess he liked it !
We test drove odyssey, Sienna, Grand Caravan and Montana.......... then a few days later I dropped in the Kia Dealer just for a "look" as i was set on getting an Odyssey............ and really liked the Sedona. Went back the next day with the wife and she really liked it too so we made the deal.
We also added and extended warranty to 7 years, 120,000km
Looking forward to getting it in a couple of days.
I must admit after reading the horror stories here I was really having second thoughts over the weekend !! But then I checked out other forums and see that there are bad ones from all manufacturers, so hopefully we got a good one.
The dealer gave me the name and phone # of the original owner to call if I chose too and also showed me the service record.
Purchased from Owen Sound Kia, Ontario

We picked it up today from dealer and really enjoyed the drive home !
just as impressed as we were on the test drives !!
Sound system is awesome and the young one loved watching a movie
Had a minor problem with one of the power sliding doors constantly re-opening when trying to close it, but after i did the reset by removing the shunt in the fuse panel for a minute, it appears to have fixed it. If not then it will have to go back for dealer fix. Noticeable increase in power over the 03 Windstar 3.8.
A very nice ride and very comfortable front seats.......... wife is short and found the drivers seat to adjust perfectly for her.

there are a few recalls and technical service bulletins that are out for the 2006 sedona so you may want to get them taken care of if they haven't been taken care of yet. they're minor things and really aren't too big of a deal but you may want to get them taken care of before they become a problem down the road.

The passenger side power sliding door failed again today, would not stay closed
using power, just kept opening again. And would not close manually either, the latch would not catch even slamming it shut, it just bounced open again. Called Dealer and they said bring it in right away and they would look at it. Dropped it off and picked it up about an hour and a half later and they had replaced the latch and cable assembly and it was working perfectly ! great service, repaired at no charge under warranty. They had the complete service record and said it had been serviced regularly there and was up to date on all recalls and bulletins etc.
According to the display, we are getting 10 L / 100km on the highway which is exactly what it stated on the sticker. I filled it up today so i will check the mileage manually too.

Congratulations for sure, Do not know how warrenty in CDN works. But here in USA it is not well publizied that the factory 5/60-10/100 is only useful to the first buyer. And that second and third owners get only 5/60 from date and mileage of IN SERVICE. Yes you will see horror stories on repairs. And KIA has its share. But they all do as you say as well. And people just do not get the point that if your getting a deal on the vech and adding in like you did the extended warrenty costs you nothing more and even less for teh KIA then the HONDA/TOYOTA/NISSAN/CHRY/GM Vech. Then whom cares. You get a much better value/peace of mind. And if you never have to use it, so be it. But you COULD! and that is the point. Not something you can say about the others at that price point. Again congrats.

take it to kia dealer and check for recall there is a recall for the swithes as they becomes faulty from factory and in some cases they may open themselves any time even the car is locked.
