Rear Damper Top Bushes

Hi all. can anyone tell me if you can get aftermarket rear top damper bushes for 2.9 tdi 1999. damper work fine just getting knocking noise from top mounts.

Just a up date. Could not find aftermarket bushes so brought new from dealer. Cost £7.50 for four ( two each side). Not to bad jod to do. Found i had to remove top mount bracket from car, then bottom damper mount nut, so i could clean thread on top of damper to undo bush mounts. hope this helps.

I know this is an old thread,but I had the "rattling sound"

and found it to be the bushes on the rear dampers,I got these from the Kia dealer today for £1.60 each (2 per side).
it took me 2 hours to do both sides but I also removed the bracket which made the job a lot easier....Great tip...Thanks

Considering that my '55 plate has just had its 60,000 mile service 3 weeks ago,I was a bit miffed about 2 things.

1. The garage should have picked up on these bushes being worn,in fact one of them was virtually non-existant
2. The fact that they have deteriorated so badly for a 3 1/2 year old car.

mite be worth dropping an email to the polybush company.
they make them for landrovers which eat bushes.

had an old range rover which i had done and it transformed the ride,
very good and precise after that.

also easier to fit and last longer.

and by the way the tyres are the same size as a range rover! (on my 07 plate)
