Sedona Clutch

My son is broke down in Dover with caravan on the back and clutch pedal on the floor.He says it has progressively lost it's "spring".Is it hydraulic or cable?All replies greatly appreciated.I am a mechanic albeit Morris Minor/Ford Cortina if you get the drift.

Hi this happend to my sedona last week I just lifted the pedal back up and every thing was ok. but I expect your son has tried that. My car has only covered 9800 miles so it must be a common fault.

its hydraulic so try topping up the fluid
ps cortina/moggy mechanic? nowt wrong with that besides apart from a few electrical bits cars havent changed at all well apart from using less steel and more plastic
