Default sendona 03

hiya can any help me i have a kia sedona on an 03 plate and the fuel pumps gne and i took it to kia and they sed it will cost £1700 to to replace it and i asked them how much the part is on its own and they sed £1200 because its fuel injection pump or sumthin i hadnt got a clue what he was talking about can any give me any adive or is just best to go to scrapy

i presume you are talking about the common rail pump on a diesel first i would suggest taking the car to a diesel specialist as opposed to kia to find out exactly what is wrong as for replacing the pump if you may find one in a scrappy or try for a recon (havent used them but i believe an outfit called diesel bob (i think) does recon and repair to diesel systems) or take out a warranty that covers the fuel system and the let it fix the car

ive been told it the injector fuel pump and thanx for the advice glenn ive just gotta find a diesel specialist in wolverhampton area now

in particular look for an delphi agent when Kia did mine they actually err well didnt do it they took it to the nearest delphi agent, mine was under warrenty (just) so just let them get on with it
