06 sedona towing capacity
I am the owner of an 06 North American version Kia Sedona with a towing capacity of 1587kg. It has come to my attention that Australian, and UK models are rated for 2000kg. Could not find any differences between Aussie version (Grand Carnival) and North American version as far as spec was concerned when I compared both versions with the info that is listed on the Kia Canada website and the Kia Australia website. Both have the same 3.8L gas engine and 5 speed tranny. I have come to the conclusion that the North American version should be able to tow 2000kg, if you know of any reason why this would not be the case please post a reply as i am in the market for a new RV. I will be renting one that is rated roughly at max capacity to see how the van will handle the weight. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Every one who tows any thing in North America says that if you do not have a full size truck or SUV that you cant tow any thing but a small pop up trailer. You know the "go big or go home mentality"
