Default trailer hitch?

Has anyone added a trailer hitch to their sedona LX? Just checking before I try it myself. The dealer tells me it can be done? Thanks,

Default Sedona trailer hitch

I put a 3500 pound rating hitch on my 05 Sedona LX and it wasn't much of a job. Even without a lift and doing it by myself, it took just 45 minutes; if I had had some help, it probably would have taken 20-25 minutes. The only unexpected issue was taking off the four bolts that had to be removed........ those babies had to be on there with 175-200 ft lb of torque. To get them off, I had to put a four foot piece of pipe on my wrench for added leverage while under the car. Anyway, it's not that much of a job. BTW, I used a hitch made just for the Sedona and it fit perfectly with no drilling; it's made by Hidden-Hitch............. check their web site for complete info.

Now the bad news......................

Doing the wiring for the trailer took me about four hours and wasn't all that much fun. I have to admit that I did a First Class Job (applause), soldering all the joints instead of using crimp-on connectors and using plenty of loom and tape to protect the wiring where needed. Anyway, even with all the necessary tools and wiring diagram it still took some time. If you're not in to (into?) car wiring, you might want to let the dealer do it (I'd be a little leery of letting the corner garage do it, though). Good luck on your project and let us know how you make out. Martythed........ 2005 Sedona LX

Hey I just wanted to thank you for the detailed response! I'll be picking a hitch up. I'm not sure on the electric yet, especially since I spent the better part of 2 days last summer trying to get the wires on my trailer to work!!!

Thanks a lot though, I appreciate the info.
