Default 2006 sedona hatch squeak

just inherited one and it has squeaks from the rear hatch. Any solution to this? It's making me crazy. I'd like to fix it myself if I can. thanks

If you can solve it, let me know....I'm battling the same thing. Very maddening, otherwise our van has been great!

After several attempts at this I figured it out.... partially. It seems like squeak is coming from tail light believe it or not. With the hatch open apply some force on the tail lights. Mine squeaked. So I unscrewed the top and the bottom screws and applied some silicone lubricant. You can see the the bottom screw is attached to the bumper. So I unscrewd that screws on each side. Also with hatch open jump up and down on the bumper, you should be able to find the squeak. It turns out it was the side interior plastic panel(the ones ith cupholders). I simply pulled the panels enough to unsnap the panels and 95% of the squeak is gone. Hope that helps

Since I use the van for business I don't feel I need snap the panels back on so I'm gonna leave the panels as they are. If it was a personal van I'd take off the panels, apply padding and some grease on the screws.

I sprayed some wd-40 on the rear door lock latch and the squeaking is gone.
