I bought an 02 Sedona last winter and it's been wonderful......until now.
In December while letting the van warm up, I realized I had no power steering. Took it to my local mechanic and had a blown power steering hose replaced.
Last Monday, no power steering again. Brother-in-law to the rescue, power steering hose replaced and reclamped.
Thursday morning (yes, same week) no power steering again. I took the to another local mechanic and he stated the hose was blown again. Reclamped it, filled it with synthetic PS fluid (charged me $100) and sent me on my way.
Today, Wednesday...yup, you guessed it. BLOWN AGAIN!
I had a remote starter installed three weeks ago, it's the only thing I've done differently.
Can anyone shed some light on what might be going on with my steering???
Always happens while vehicle is running, but not being driven. Contrary to what my mechanic thinks, I do not drive it cold. I may be Canadian, but I'm not stupid. I hate the cold. The van runs for atleast 20 minutes before I drive anywhere.
