Van jumping after red light
I had a strange problem happen to me today. We drove from Atlanta to Orlando with no problems. We have a 2003 Sedona with 125k miles. When I got to the Disney area i had to gun it to do a lane change. Might have put too much strain on the van. After this it started jumping a bit from a stopped position. It will go but seemed a bit jumping and has me worried being so far from home. We stayed at the hotel for an hour or so and we left for downtown disney and have experienced no problems. My father said it could be a vapor lock caused by the increase in temp from Atlanta at 32f and Orlando at about 80f. I did top off a half tank in Orlando before jumping on the turn pike.
What I noticed is a strange smell. Almost like the car is not burning all its fuel. I do have a computer reader and so far the OBD II system does not sense a problem. We'll be here for a week so I could rent a car and set it to City Kia if it needs to get fixed. Any idea on what this could be? Maybe a failing fuel pump?
