you could try one of the recharge kits to top up your refrigerant level but playing with aircon properly needs some special bits of kit also there are parts that should be serviced and or replaced and anything that needs doing will require the system draining so i personally would try yellow pages for a specialist in car aircon but be prepared for quite a big bill!!!

I had the same problem when I got my 04 Sedona in August last year. Like you I feared the worst, luckly enough I can recharge the system in work, so i hooked it up, done an evacuation some new oil and recharged the system, the only thing i would say is that it take a serious amount of gas to recharge it (about 1200 grms) thats around twice the amount an average family car takes. After that it all worked fine, there are a lot of safety measures on the system to stop it from working if it loses pressure, so if it's a recent problem I think you'll be lucky enough.......

Best Regards

Hi,

I have a similar problem.

I bought my 03 Sedona in winter and never used the air con. However I tried it today but it wont kick in.

The fan did not kick in even after I left it running for a while.I checked all the fuses in the engine bay and swapped the horn rely with the air con but still no joy.

When I tested it for power there was no power coming through the conection?

Is there a speacial fuse for the air con and if so can anyone tell me where it is please?

Thanks
Baz

The A/C System has a high pressure switch and a low pressure switch too, if your system is undercharged the low pressure switch will prevent the A/C Clutch on the compressor from kicking in and rouining your compressor. You might just need a re-charge...... hopefully thats all.
