sedona with flashing swirly light on dashboard

hi there we have a 02 reg 2.9crdi lx that we have had now for just over a year we have a flashing swirly light on the right hand side of the dash which comes and goes. it has happened twice before whilst still under warranty and the dealer told us it was a loose wire fault and they took it in and fixed it. it has now started again but is out of warranty just wondered if any one knew what this was or knew how to sort it out or if it was something else than a loose wire hopefully someone can help many thanks

followed advice on repairing heater wire and problem fixed. really quick and easy to do .dealer told me they would need the car all day as the dash needed to be stripped ouy to fix it !!!!! so not!!!!!! 5 minute job easy peasy. thanks all for advice appreciate it cheers.
