Default Kia Sedona 2006 headlight/ blinker

My headlights are out and the right front blinker does not work.
My husband's theory is that if the blinker is burned out, the headlights will not work until the bulb is replaced- We have not had a chance to look at the manual yet but is this a possibility? Any other theories?
Thanks !

I'd have to check our van, but headlights on most vehicles are usually on a separate circuit from the rest of the lighting. I could be wrong here, but I'd be surprised if they were interconnected.

Now, if you have a problem with the turn signal stalk that affects both circuits, then they could be indirectly related. My guess is that this sort of failure would also affect the left and rear signal bulbs though.

I have had both headlight globes fail within weeks and one indicator bulb, they are not interconnected so I would expect a wiring loom issue or as other post says the control post at the steering wheel. You can remove the headlight assy by removing the plastic strip above the radiator/ac. there is 2 bolts up top of the light unit and it just lifts up and out. you can get the globes from Advance auto or other auto parts suppliers. Cheers
