I like it! My US '04 model does not have the solid bench seat in the back with the armrest. Also, the silver color center dash looks much better than the black. Also, the wood trim wheel is neat too. Did US 'O5 models have this? An lastly, can you turn the center seats around to face the rear? I realize that the seat belt will not work, but will the seats latch into the floor backwards?

yes i agree it does look nice but does this mean we will be able to buy a new sedona for a few thousand pound (tata nano £1250 in india) also another source of new,old sedonas is the naza ria (not sure where these are made) also is the aftermarket spares and accesories options going to open up with the possibility of getting parts for other models shipped around the world (i once found a firm marketing sedona body kits)
ps it is not only kia using chinese manufacturing, h1 hummer anybody?

Interesting. The whole dashboard looks a bit like a hybrid '05 Carnival/'06 Grand Carnival. There's that extra glove-box where our passenger-side airbag was but there's a panel above it that matches the airbag position in our Grand. The instruments look like a cross between my '04 Rio & the Grand's, nothing like our '05 Carnival's. It also has a foot-operated park-brake, like our Grand.
I'm afraid both Wifey & I dislike those timber inserts. Look a bit tacky to us. Just hope that the Chinese bolt the engines together properly & avoid the dreaded KV6 dramas!

The Naza Ria is Malaysian made. Essentially a rebadged 2.5 KV6 Carnival. Rebadged by the Naza Group who also rebadge Peugeot 206 and 407 amongst others for local and export consumption. Stangely I have not heard of any engine problem with this Ria or the Carnival (which were withdrawn from the market when the Ria appeared) although I've seen a carnival with its heads done already.

The Ria, being locally-assembled, is much cheaper than the Carnival was. Spare parts is still quite expensive though. If you like, I can find out the prices for whatever parts you'd like. For example, rear shockers can be replaced for about RM400 (roughly USD120). Is this cheaper than in other countries? However, prices do vary all the time..
