Default Gas Mileage 2006 Sedona

Around town driving V-6 Eng, currently use 10-30 Blended Synthetic Oil and now have added a K & N Engine air Filter P/N 33-2368 which puts more air in. See slight boost in HP but fuel mileage is 16.1 MPG. which is not real great. On a 2,000 mile trip when new in 06 got 17.5 MPG.
Van always runs great and we certainly love driving it.

Do I have to live with this mileage or has anyone had better luck with something else.

Sorry, I can't help you, but we were thinking of putting in a K&N Air filter for that very reason. To hopefully increase our gas mileage. Guess maybe we won't.

I have a 2007 SWB Sedona w/7200 miles and I'm averaging 22mpg since I bought it. I do very little city driving, 10% city, 40% rural, 50% highway. I have gotten over 26 mgp on several tanks while on the interstate, but normally 24-25 mpg.
I am very easy on the gas pedal and the brakes as well. Going uphill with cruise control, I give it a little gas to keep from downshifting and that seems to help with gas mileage. I also have removed the rear seats which may help some.

I am having the same problem with my 2006 Sedona. After much grief, it was brought to my attention that the thermostat was not working properly and probably never did as the engine light will not come on until the engine coolant reaches an all time low. Code P0128 was distracted from computer. ECU upgrade is available and thermostat must be replaced. So have your themostat tested, just a suggestion. If it is a thermostat issue, simply performing the upgrade will only change the parameters so that the engine light will not come on.
