Have you brought it to the dealer? Sounds like something that would be covered under warranty.

I am facing same problem with the sliding doors. Occasionally, the doors reopen by 1-2 inches after closing shut. Retrying works. I am not sure if this is a fault or feature. I took to the dealership and they had no clue. Since, the problem occurs only occasionally, it is difficult to demonstrate the behavior. Any pointer will help.

We have the same intermittant fault, the door will close and then go back a few inches, i find this quite alarming, especially if you pull away in a hurry.
I am going to the dealership next week to have it checked, might as well take it to pluto, but i have to register complaint

I sometimes get this also but it only seems to happen when I park in my driveway which is on a slight slope and doesnt happen when the car is parked boot in first as opposed to bonnet first

update on this. kia know there is fault with the electric doors and are trying to find a solution. if i was you i would either ring your dealer or log it with head office. if we dont complain then they wont know how many faulty door sedonas are out there.

jo-anne

ps let us know how you get on.

i my self have had alot of sedonas in with this problem and it is one of two things .
1 there is a multi plug under the doorsthat can get water in it
2 they have a "pinch strip" on the doors to stop the doors closing on people and they have been causing problems
hope that helps

Mine did it once and it was after I opened the door manually and closed it. Maybe it lost its position on the motor that moves it and it takes a couple tries to get itself lined up again. It hasn't happened any more since.

today the rear electric door wouldnt shut at all. i was sucking in popping out sucking in then leaving ajar. i had to leave it ajar when i took my son to school because i couldnt shut it. i did though manage to lock it. i came back out of school and tried again and again and again. in the end i slammed it shut when it was coming back to shut. thats how i am having to close it at the moment.
