Default A/C problems, seat problems, headlight ?..

Hello:

I have many questions. I have an '02 Kia Sedona and the A/C is putting out hot air. When I called a repair shop to inquire about recharging I was told the car had a leak and that it didn't just lose freon. I'm confused.

Also, we are having problems with the rear seats. The mechanism to raise and lower the seats is about to fall off. The plastic piece that holds the little arm on has cracked and is falling apart. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I wonder if the seats need to be replaced?

I need to have my headlights changed. We have the lights but my husband does not feel comfortable changing them. If you ahve chaged the lights to you have any tips? I am considering trying to do it myself. What about the fog lights? I have one light out.

Anyone having problems with the rear windshield wiper corroding? My wiper looks horrible. When I asked the dealer about it I was told to spray paint it black. I haven't done that yet so it does look horrible.

That's all I can think of for now. Despite the problems I really love the van still and I have no desire to trade it in yet.

Thank you.

Cindy

If you're a little bit handy, you can purchase a charging kit from any auto store and do it yourself for the AC. However, the proper way to repair is to find the leak, repair it, evacuate and recharge the system. Are you within the 60k warranty?

Haven't had problems with the rear seats at all. If its just the plastic arm, you should be ok. Could be normal wear and tear.

Changing the headlights used to be a bear for me, but I found out you can remove three screws that hold the entire fixture into place and pull it away, thus exposing the connections for the bulb. Don't know about the fog lights.

The rear wiper is something new. You can probably pick up a replacement from the dealer or ebay or something. I've replaced the front wiper arms and they're very easy, so I can imaging the rear ones to be just as easy.
