Default Looking for used front bumper

Few weeks ago I turned a corner in the alley and the front of the van slid into a frozen snow bank cracking the bumper from the fog lamp to the wheel well. I went online to find a salvage yard with a used bumper, to no avail. A new bumper lists for around $325.00, and was looking for something cheaper. Color doesn't matter. Can a plastic bumper like this be fixed? Any help is much appreciated. Van is a 2005 EX.

Default plastic repairs

depending on the type of plastic used there are several ways of repairing them also your own level of skill and expertise will effect your chosen method
most auto plastics can be repaired with a heat gun you will need to work from both sides and you will need some filler material to weld the join
or you can use an adhesive such as super/crazy glue but the problem is finding which one works on the material your bumper is made from
probably the easiest to use and achieve a good repair would be fiberglass building up a layer over the back of the repair
but the first and most important job will be to ensure all parts a correctly alligned as if you fix them out of place you will be stuck with it like that if the panel is flapping about you will have to put bridging pieces over it first to locate all bits in place then repair from the back then remove the bridges and repair the front
best of luck glenn

Thanks for the reply. The crack is clean and will line up nicely, so I'm thinking that using the fiberglass build up will work good.
Thanks again,
Jason

Having such a long crack I would opt to get new bumper cover. Here is site for $285.

2002 - 2005 Kia Sedona Bumper

Alternately, if you attempt to repair your bumper, simple polyester resin and fiberglass cloth (boat repair kit)will probably not do the job. The front bumper on our vans is most likely RIM plastic. Polyester resin will initially stick to the bumper but will release itself as the it shrinks.

Professional RIM bumper repair kits consist of a two-part mix, similiar to hardware store epoxy, one common brand is SEM. There are small kits and larger ones (big as household caulking tubes), one small kit is probably too small and the the other too big. The least expensive repair kit can be found at WalMart near the auto paint supplies. It is called plastic bumper repair kit or similiar made by the Bondo brand. The contents are the same as the SEM professional brand except it is a smaller quantity. The price is right, around $5-$6 and your could get two or three to do your job. You might think about backing the repair up with some metal strap and screws, then filling the fastener holes with the Bondo kit.

Alternately, there are mobile bumper repair people that just fix bumpers, you may want to call one of these guys first for an estimate. The would be able to repair and paint your bumper on your driveway.
