Just wondering if others are making their own Bio??
I've been browseing Ebay for Processors & item 200230452084 seems well priced. Anyone using or could suggest other options??

In May my fuel bill was £535, need to cut this down

Hi everyone. Very little to report .... car running fine on 2:1 mix, diesel/veg.oil. Not kept accurate figures on mileage but "feel" I am getting better m.p.g. Most of my journeys are low mileage (less than 6 miles) with occasional week-end breaks, sometimes with caravan and monthly return trip of about 260 miles....... Only one problem and that is the price of veg oil; it's rising at a ridiculous rate and may lead to a change of plan..... Last week in local ALDI, 95p. per litre. This week £1.15p !! If I didn't know better I'd suggest a conspiracy perpetrated by government sources, but we don't want to bring politics into
our forum do we? Anyway, have a nice week-end and does anyone have any info. on suitability of Grapeseed oil? (No, not rapeseed)

Hi y'all, and well done John with your 50/50 mix.... could you expand on your "home-made bio?" Is it simply used chip fat and how have you filtered it ? Any additives ?
Not had any response yet regarding Grapeseed Oil... How about you Pete B, any ideas ?

HI Wesley, the homemade bio i used was made from used oil, although i did not make it myself ,i have been online for weeks finding out about making it.
I managed to track down the guy who was all over the news as he was making homemade bio. So i paid him a visit and he showed me the making proccess which was very easy to make.
So i bought some from him to try.
All you need is used oil some methanol, caustic and a bio reactor which he can suppy or you can buy online for approx £300 to £400.
i will report back later and let you know how i get on, all i have to do now is try and find a supplier of used oil.

Default The Price of Vegetable oil.

Just when i thought i had a good thing going my Lidl shop has just upped the price of their oil by over 30p a Litre.
Does anybody out there run filtered W.V.O in their sedona ( Not processed waste or bio).??
I personally know people who run wvo in all sorts of vehicles without any problem they just filter it stick in some petrol and away they go.

I know about the big debate on crd and hpi systems and their alleged suitability or unsuitability to run on filtered wvo. Has anybody out there tried it.
The way fuel is going up in price it looks like i might buy an old toyota estima and run it on veg.

Hello fellow forum readers...........Still running 2:1 mix and no problems. Engine nice and smooth/quiet. Just a pity that the veg oil price is so high. Never mind, at least we tried and we know it works. Will carry on as planned till 50,000 miles service then decide on future strategy following garage report. Not prepared to spend large amounts on conversions / filtering equipment as I feel this would be defeating the object of 'saving' money. Also I aim to change my Sedona next year for a new model. (Might go for Sorento)
I intend to carry out an accurate m.p.g. trial soon so 'watch this space'.
