Thanks for the reply.
Does anybody know any crdi drivers that have used the biodiesel or (Homemade bio) Its not the making the bio that worries me its will it have any long term affect on the car.
I have been online for hours and think i have read every biodiesel on google but still cant find any one who has put it in there crdi, the only problem that i can find is that it damages rubber so not sure if it will go for fuel hoses/pumps etc.
So if anyone has used it i would please lets me know so i can try it ( big coward i am)
We all know diesel is going through the roof, its time we shot the goverment because of the duty (or vote with the pen)

I cannot imagine it would do any long term damage if you get your chemicals in the correct quantities, theres a lot of misinformation out there also especially regarding the damage veggie and bio can do, Ive never heard of anyone having any problems.

Go for it you big chicken

It will be 50% bio 50% derv.
I did read your earlier thread about 50/50 but as vegi is getting at almost the same price as diesel i thought i would try bio ( got it for £1 L) if all goes well i hope to have a try at making it. (lol)

with the price of diesel soaring i believe this thread is going to become very popular[/quote]
well looks like i was right this is now the most viewed thread in the sedona forum so does this mean lots of people are running veg and keeping quiet about it or they want to but are scared or the final option they are sitting back waiting until one of us test pilots has a problem so they can steam in and proclaim "oh i knew it would never work and serves them right"
well my comment to all of you is its working for me and the only problem i have had was a partially blocked fuel filter

I had no real problems at all in the Sedona until I stopped due to price, in the Corsa I had I did have a few probs like Glenn I had a blocked fuel filter but I was using waste veggie oil and I was only cold filtering through a couple a J-Clothes my supply of WVO was not plentiful enough to keep it going so got rid

We do really need more contributers not just to this thread but to them all its the only way to grow and thrive....Come on guys n gals

Well Boys and Ladies,
The price of diesel is rocketing 128.9 was the price i paid for a litre the last time i filled up.: It costs 95p a litre for 100% rapeseed veg at Lidl. If i stuck in 15l per tankfull i would save £4.50 on a fillup. Question is and this is the ' holy grail ' what wiill a TDI and a CRDI run on . If i could run at 50% clean fresh veg with no problems apart from a filter change here and there i would. Dont want to try waste veg just with the cold filter and settling method . Biodiesel is unavailable anywhere near me..The people with Toyota Estimas can run on high percentages of veg waste and fresh.
What is the worst case scenario???? £500 plus fitting and injector clean out if the CRDI pump disintagrates. If your waste oil is free it wont take many tankfuls to recover garage bills if your pump packs in ( and it could pack in using diesel. ) So i agree with PeteB we all need to know your blends and experiences. Who is burning what today??

With the current weather climates in the UK you should be fine at 50 %ish SVO, I did thousands of miles on that percentage no real bother maybe some white spirit to thin it out and get a can of Easy start (leave it in car, just in case) also do the turn the ignition key thing 2-3 times before you do the final fire the engine up
