Can you tell about where on the engine the rattle is coming from? Rattling from inside the motor is usually bad. Rattling from the tranny is also bad. However, there are external things that rattle and can be fixed by tightening a bolt or putting back in a screw that has fallen out.

Have you owned the vehicle since new? Has it ever run low on the oil or is it due for an oil change now?

I should pay better attention.

What grade of gas does the Sedona call for? No better than 86, right? After next fill-up, let us know if the problem is fixed. Change the oil and filter, too, if you're not sure when it was last done.

Here in the US, the 3 main grades of gasoline are rated by octane. 86 octane is the lowest. What does the Sedona call for? Going above what it requires usually doesn't help. However, your last tank of gas could have been low-quality (water in it or whatever) rather than too low of a grade. Use a different filling station. If you get better quality gas, you might not have to keep using the more-expensive premium-grade.

Did the better gas solve the problem?
