Default Sedona Wheel Bearing Siezed In

My Sedona (2002 2.8 Diesel) requires a new wheel bearing on the passenger side to get through its MOT. The problem is the old one is siezed in. It is presently in a Garage who are trying to replace it.

The front wheel assembly has been removed including the drive shaft and a bearing press with 4 tonnes of pressure has been used to try and get the bearing out but it still wont budge.

If it doesnt come out the alternative is a new front assembly including drive shaft. I could end up in the Guinness book of records with the most expensive wheel bearing change in history....

Anyone else had issues replacing these or is there a trick to removing the wheel bearing.

Cheers
CM

Default brute force and inteligence

although i havent done a sedona bearing have done a few others and usually heat (blowlamp or oven) cold (freezer) or aplication of an excessive amount of force (sledgehammer)will do the trick but sometimes technology has to be used by grinding through the race of the bearing to reduce the grip it has in place but also you must make sure it isnt held by any retainers ie circlip
