Default Hood/Front Bonnet Ajar Sensor Missing

Hello you all,

I notice the Carnival I bought do not have any ajar sensor for the front bonnet (engine compartment). I went to see the brand new Carnival at a dealer, and perform the open hood, close the doors. No sign on the dashboard of hood ajar.

I want to add a new alarm system, without this sensor, somebody can just open the hood and no alarm will sound, and simply disconnect the battery!

This is unlike my Sephia, which has the hood ajar sensor.

Thanks for the feedback

I've not been in a vehicle with a hood ajar warning light.

I don't think it would be too difficult a proposition. A well-placed spring-loaded switch that's open/off when depressed and closed/on when not.

What I missed on my Sedona (and on my Scion xA, as well) is the underhood light like the one on my Plymouth Voyager.
