Exclamation Clutch

Hi murphwiz
Seems like clutch as gone with only 19,500 miles do you know if this can be done under warrenty we have ony had it 4or5 weeks its just over 12 month old it was first reg 27 sep05 went to london yesterday could smell it i phoned a dealer to book it in for the 20,000 service he said clutch would not be coverd,it as not done any towing,i have took the airbox off to have a look at cable but found it to be hydrolic,so took the play out of the pedal looks like there is no more adjustment, got a nice firm ped now but can still feel it snatching when engageing gear and there is no way that we could afford to pay the dealer price,as only one of us is able to work,i know this is a daft question to ask with out you seeing,do you think with how i have described it that it needs a new one

Is it slipping?
Seens a few hydralic issues, get it checked under warranty, making sure you make plain you will not pay for clutch replacement, if it turns out to be clutch, contact kia customer services.

Hi Murphwiz just ad 20000 mile service i adjusted clutch first on the rod above the pedal every thing was fine,so when they checked it they said that there were nothing wrong with it,but i have phoned them to day to tell them i think it as a hydrulic problem as every now and then it goes soft so to me that seems like the fault must be the slave cylinder, what is your thought, also i have pointed out to them, that the fuel filter should have been changed at this service, which they have not done,so booked in again next friday, tow bar all done, easy job the worst part was finding some were to run a wire through bulk head to battery

Last year in France, a pipe on my Clutch burst and I lost all the hydraulics to my Clutch (pedal to floor). I had it repaired. Yesterday, i noticed that my car was creeping forward when the clutch was fully dipped.. my mechanic informs me that I have leaks from the Gearbox joint, rear and front crank seals and after a bit of investigation on the 'tinternet' it would appear that the Clutch hydraulics and clutch Fork assembly are prone to failure.. Im looking at £600 to get it fixed.. not impressed.
