Default Engine Swap in the Sedona

Anyone heard of people swaping in the Sedona diesel engine from EU into the US Sedonas ? I relize its not realy cost effected to rip out a new engine but... Or any talk of Kia bringing over the diesel engine to the US ?

The Fact there is no minivan (the vw hippi van does not count) in the US with a diesel just amazes me , there has to be a market for that!!!

Oh by the way im looking at purchases my first minivan( 2 kids in 2 years) and the Sedona seems to be the best Choice (mostlickly an Ex with power doors and add my own dvd system)

THnaks

Its the heavily taxed fuel prices in UK/Europe which make the 2.9 diesel Sedona the only sensible option. There is no diesel offered in US/Can/Australia because the fuel is 1/3 the cost.

It would be nice for the planet if we had an amnesty on cars with 3.5ltr+ engines. The average UK engine cc is about 1.6ltr

Those VW hippy vans aren't vans, they're buses, Type II's, Transporters, Westies (if so equipped) or (as avertised at the time) station wagons. They're also driven by far more people than just the hippies. Finally, all the ones I've seen or heard about are gasoline; diesels (if any) are few and far between. Unless you're talking about Vanagons, which is a whole 'nother story...
