For those interested in having the Dimensions between Sedona and the competitions in one handy place.
(The same numbers can be found via Google and the Manufacturers' spec, for additional details please go to the respective brand's official websites).
The below numbers are for the 2016 models of U.S. models:
KIA SEDONA
Length = 201.4 inches
Width = 78.1 inches (Side mirrors folded in. 89.3 inches with Side mirrors extended out).
Height = 69.1 (including the roof rails. 68.5 inches when excluding the roof rails).
Wheelbase = 120.5 inches
Tracks (FR/RR) = 68.5/68.8 inches(EX/SX models)
Ground Clearance = 6.7 inches
HONDA ODYSSEY
Length = 202.9 inches (1.5 inches more than SEDONA)
Width = 79.2 inches (my guess is with Side mirrors folded in. 1.1 inches more than SEDONA)
Height = 68.4 (EXCLUDING the roof rails. 0.1 inches lower than SEDONA)
Wheelbase = 118.1 inches (2.4 inches less than SEDONA)
Tracks (FR/RR) = 68.1/68.2 inches (about 0.5 inches narrower on average for the tracks than SEDONA)
Ground Clearance = info n/a
TOYOTA SIENNA
Length = 200.2 inches (1.2 inches less than SEDONA)
Width = 78.1 inches (my guess is with Side mirrors folded in. Exactly the same as SEDONA)
Height = 70.7 (including the roof rails. 1.6 inches taller than SEDONA)
Wheelbase = 119.3 inches (1.2 inches less than SEDONA)
Tracks (FR/RR) = 67.7/67.7 inches (about 1.0 inch narrower on average for the tracks than SEDONA)
Ground Clearance = 6.5 inches (0.2 inches closer to the ground than SEDONA)
NOTE:
I am just NOT going to list the numbers for the Chrysler/Dodge twins, because i consider them to be subpart and in a slightly different lesser category, attested by their prices.
In hope that Chrysler, in their full revision and brand new minivan for 2017, they will raise their own bars and at least will try to match the Asians.
Same story for the Nissan, i consider it dead ugly (at least the front-end). Anyone buying the Quest, Nissan should be paying them for doing the favor.
CONCLUSION >>
Overall Length: Sedona is right in the middle between Honda and Toyota.
Overall Width: Sedona and Sienna are the same, Ody is 1.1 inch more, which is practically negligible.
Overall Height: Sedona and Ody are the same, Sienna is 1.6 inch taller, good for head room, bad for drag and car dynamics, combine with track width below).
Wheelbase: Sedona is the best here, at least 1.2 inch longer, but is that correctly translated into 1.2 inch more room inside? sadly i think it negligible here).
Wheel tracks: Sedona is again the best here, and this is effectively much better for vehicle stability and driving dynamics. Pontiac said it: "Wider is better"
Ground clearance: depending on your need... personally i prefer lower to the ground, but for those of you travelling occasionally off-road, this would be important. But a 0.2 inch difference with the Sienna is practically negligible...
Depending on your desires and need, you may favor one car over another, i hope this post will help the interested,
Until Honda and Toyata totally revemp their vans for the 2017, and even then, always take things with a grain of salt.
