2006 Sedona interior light left on warning ding-bell??

Hi all -

Is there supposed to be an interior light warning beep/ding
when the lights are left on but the ignition is off?

My kids are now at the age where they're always turning on the lights
and getting out of the car - without their mother noticing that the lights are on way in the back.

I know sometimes these dings and beeps can be disabled - so before
I go trying to buy an aftermarket setup (if such a thing exists),
I thought I'd see if it's just disabled some way or other...

ideas?
